Welcome to Your Rock or Mine. We are a shop that is focused on hand made jewelry here in the USA. Many of the stones have been acquired by myself going on location and getting the stones myself, others are raw rocks and stones that I have acquired and then cut myself to make into various pieces of jewelry. Many of these stones come from East Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Georgia. When I have an abundance of stones I will also cut and shape them and sell them just as the stones. (I do not do faceting yet but that will be coming.)
I tend to use a lot of Quartz (of all kinds, Smoky, Citrine (real, not heat treated Amethyst), Amethyst, Blue, Strawberry and Clear), Tourmaline, Agates (so many different kinds), Jaspers(again too many to list), Ocean Picture Stone, Tiffany Stone (Ocean Picture Stone and Tiffany Stone are rare stones as there is only one place in the world to get each of these), Moonstone, Geode pieces, Blue Lace Agate, Aquamarine, Sapphire, Garnett, Apatite, Chrysocolla, Chrysoprase, Star Ruby, Labradorite (one of my best sellers) Obsidian (Gold Sheen, Black and Rainbow), and many more.
I started this business by doing custom orders from pieces that I had made for myself that others saw me wearing. As I got more orders I thought I would just go ahead and make a business of it.
